Dr Roger Amar Eye Blepharoplasty, Upper and Lower
Eye blepharoplasty is surgery that is performed to the upper, lower or both eyelids. This surgery improves the appearance of the eyelids and gives a much more rejuvenated appearance to the surrounding area of the eyes thus making you look youthful, rested and alert.
Drooping eyelids can make a person look older or give the impression of fatigueand can also impair vision. The eye blepharoplasty corrects these problems and also removes puffiness and bags under the eyes that make you look worn and tired. This procedure cannot alter dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, nor can it change sagging eyebrows.
Though eye blepharoplasty is often performed as a single procedure, Dr Amar may also recommend a blepharoplasty to a patient so as to be complimentary to a browlift or facelift.
Most commonly, the surgeon will make incisions along the natural creases of the upper eyelids, and just below the eyelashes for the lower eyelids. The surgeon will remove excess skin, muscle, and fat as necessary to produce the desired result. This procedure is carried out under sedation not general anaesthetic.
You can see from the image above that the lower bag removal can change the eyes dramatically giving a fresher look to your eyes.
